FAQs

  • Yes! Pressure washing is generally considered safe for most exterior surfaces if it's done by a trained professional. At Riptide Pressure Washing, I will use the right pressure and cleaning solutions to safeguard your property and prevent any potential harm.

  • Living in North Carolina, where our climate is typically hotter and more humid than other regions, increases the likelihood of mold, mildew, and other organic growth on your property's exterior surfaces. As a result, it's generally recommended to have your property pressure cleaned roughly once a year to combat these issues and maintain your property's appearance. At Riptide Pressure Washing, I can help you determine the ideal cleaning schedule based on your property's unique needs and environmental factors.

  • Soft washing is the preferred method over pressure washing when it comes to cleaning houses for several important reasons. First and foremost, soft washing is a gentle and more delicate approach that minimizes the risk of causing damage to the exterior surfaces of your house. Unlike pressure washing, which utilizes high-pressure water streams that can potentially chip paint, crack siding, or dislodge shingles.

This ensures a thorough and effective cleaning process without compromising the integrity of your home's materials. Soft washing employs low-pressure water combined with an eco-friendly cleaning solution. Additionally, soft washing is highly efficient in removing stubborn stains, dirt, mold, and mildew, providing longer-lasting results!

(If you choose to go with another company please make sure they are NOT using pressure to clean your home, as pressure on homes can cause more harm than good.)

  • It is not necessary for you to be present during the pressure washing service, provided that our technicians have access to your property and any necessary water sources. I understand that your time is valuable, and I will work with you to schedule the service at a time that is most convenient for you. Additionally, I can provide before and after photos to showcase the results of the service.

  • It's generally recommended to move any furniture, objects, or cars from the driveway that may be in the way before a pressure washing service to ensure that all surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and to avoid any potential damage. This can also help to mitigate any liability issues that may arise if an object is accidentally damaged during the service.

However, if you are unable to move the furniture or objects yourself, or if you require assistance, I will handle your property with care and precision to ensure that your belongings and your property are protected during the service.

  • The duration of a pressure washing service depends on the size of the property and the extent of the cleaning needed. I will provide an estimate of the service time based on the specific needs of your property.

    1. I prioritize the well-being of your plants/grass, furniture and surfaces by pre-soaking it all with water before beginning any work. This ensures their protection while I work to restore your property.

    2. Houses - I employ a gentle low-pressure softwash technique, letting the solution do the work, not pressure. This process is the industry standard and is also the most effective, achieving the best results.

    3. Most surfaces - This will be done by a surface cleaner. I will remove all stains and discoloration followed by a post-treatment using the soft wash solution. This will kill any organic growth, closely restoring it to the original form and color.

    4. Concluding the process - All plants and surfaces will get a final rinse, and then I will walk the property with you to make sure you are satisfied with the results!
